![]() | Kevin ChouCEOKevin Chou is the CEO of Watercooler, the world's largest fan community online for Sports and TV audiences. Kevin has led the company from its founding to over 25 million application installations users across the Watercooler network. Watercooler's products enable passionate fans to connect with other fans inside their favorite social networks. Prior to Watercooler, Kevin spent several years at the global venture capital firm Canaan Partners investing in digital media, consumer internet services, and online advertising companies. Kevin took part in funding 10 companies during his tenure at Canaan Partners, deploying part of the firm's $2.3 billion of capital. Earlier in Kevin's career, he advised public technology companies on M&A and corporate finance as part of Deutsche Bank's investment banking arm in San Francisco. Kevin holds a BS from University of California, Berkeley in Business Administration, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. |
![]() | Michael LiVP EngineeringMichael Li is a co-founder and vice president of engineering at Watercooler. He is responsible for all engineering activities, including the development and operation of Watercooler's distributed application platform spanning top social networks. Prior to Watercooler, Mike was the founder and CEO of mobile location-based startup 6th Sense Communications, Inc. Mike has also spent several years as a technology consultant with Accenture and Blackstone Technology Group. He began his career at Abeona Networks, a KP and Sequoia-funded startup. Mike graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. |
![]() | Justin SmithHead of ProductAs Head of Product at Watercooler, Justin Smith is responsible for product management and strategy across Watercooler's product lines. Justin is also the editor of Inside Facebook, the largest blog serving social application developers, social game developers, and social media marketers. Prior to Watercooler, Justin worked in product management at Xfire, the biggest social network for gamers that was acquired by Viacom. Justin graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Computer Systems Engineering, where he was a Mayfield Fellow and recipient of the Terman Award in Engineering. |
Bryan BennettSenior Director of MarketingAs head of marketing, Bryan Bennett is responsible for all marketing and public relations at Watercooler including positioning the company across different constituencies: consumers, advertisers, partners, and the media. Bryan brings significant experience in social media marketing to Watercooler having most recently led the marketing team at Piczo, a social network targeted at teens. Prior to Piczo, Bryan was director of marketing at Peerflix, and held various marketing and product positions at AOL, Covad Communications, and Verizon earlier in his career. Bryan holds a BS in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from The Neeley School at Texas Christian University. | |
Chris ChinnVP of SalesChris Chinn is the VP of Sales of Watercooler and responsible for revenue generation. Chris has been in media advertising sales for over 19 years with online and broadcast television companies ranging from media conglomerates to start-ups. Chris realized early the potential of social media's impact on advertising and has contributed to several industry-leading companies such as AOL Instant Messenger, Facebook, Bebo, and SocialMedia. Some of the key marketers that Chris has worked with include Nike, Coca-Cola, Apple, HP, Nintendo, McDonald's, Sony, and Universal Pictures. Chris built the US sales team for Bebo which was acquired by AOL in early 2008 and prior led NW regional sales at Facebook where he led the iTunes partnership which was to date the largest-ever iTunes music promotion for Apple. Leading US sales for Netscape and regional sales for AOL's Web Properties (AIM, Netscape, Mapquest, Compuserve) were a few of the positions Chris held at AOL Inc. over nearly 7 years. His broadcast television experience included KTVU-FOX and CBS, NBC affiliate stations. Chris graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Economics. |
